Environment Canada has released the official statistics on all the rain that soaked Windsor-Essex.
From Monday night through yesterday, LaSalle received the most rain with 290mm (11 in) falling on the town.
The Windsor-Riverside area was the second hardest hit with 170mm (7 in) of rain. Essex is third on the list at 165mm (6.5 in).
Environment Canada also reports 104mm (4 in) of rain was recorded at the Windsor Airport while Amherstburg received 37mm (1.5 in).
Meteorologist Mark Shuster blames a very slow-moving system.
"It's amazing how localized it was. If you went a little further to the east, some areas only got a few millimetres or nothing at all," says Shuster. "So it was really concentrated in a very small area of extreme southwestern Ontario."
Provincial officials are expected to be in the area this week to evaluate the damage and see if relief funding is needed.
