The Town of LaSalle gave its residents an opportunity to ask any questions they had about the municipality Wednesday night.
The town's administrative and public service employees held an open house at the Vollmer Complex to keep the public informed about municipal affairs.
Residents received insight into things such as the town's future and how their tax dollars are spent.
Mayor of LaSalle Ken Antaya — who spoke to residents directly — says there are many services the town provides people do not know about.
"Anybody from the municipality can come and take a look, see what services we provide and know how to access those services," says Antaya. "For any questions regarding those services, we have staff here who are donating their time to answer those questions."
He says the town's tax dollars contribute to services such as road repair, the maintenance of green spaces, snow removal and sewer cleaning.
Antaya also says it is important for the public to remain informed when it comes to their community.
"I am just happy that we have something like this because it shows transparency," says Antaya. "We are not hiding anything, this is everything we got, ask a question, we are not afraid of giving you an answer and if we can not get you an answer tonight, let us know and we will get back to you."
