The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County has named its next executive director.
Colleen Reaume will be taking over for the retiring Carol Derbyshire.
Reaume has worked at Windsor Regional Hospital in the cancer program for more than 30-years.
She has also held a position as Director of the Regional Cancer Program, Erie St. Clair.
"We have worked very closely with Colleen," says Derbyshire. "I think she has been there for 30 years, she started there when she was 18."
Derbyshire says Reaume has held different positions in health care and has a well-rounded background.
"You only hope and pray you can get somebody with that kind of experience," adds Derbyshire. "So there is no doubt in our mind that she will do an outstanding job."
Derbyshire has spent 39-years at hospice and announced her retirement in June.
Her last day on the job is November 1st.
Reaume starts on October 15th.
