Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath continues her campaign against soaring hydro rates.
She met Tuesday with small business owners in Windsor-Essex and says she's hearing the same message no matter where she goes, that people are struggling. "It's the agricultural community, it's small business, it's big business, it's families, it's people just trying to make ends meet and really what people are starting to feel like is that we're really hitting a wall in this province."
"It feels like we are hitting a tipping point in Ontario" says Horwath. "Some big changes have to happen if we're going be able to have a good quality of life here or if we're going to be able to offer the future generations an ability to build a good life here."
Horwath also told AM800's 'the Afternoon News' that Ontario residents need to put more pressure on the Wynne government to stop the sell-off of Hydro One which she says will only see hydro rates continue to rise.
