A $600,000 investment at a Windsor Catholic High School.
Holy Names High School is getting upgrades to five science labs plus upgrades to its sports facility.
It is part of a new vision for the school which will focus on science, technology, engineering and math subjects.
The catholic school board is also in talks with the University of Windsor and St. Clair College who are exploring the possibility of providing some resources to the new focus at the school.
School Principal Patrick Hickson says this is the way of the future.
"We are looking to increase kid's knowledge and skills in those types of pathways once they leave high school either toward post secondary or into the world of work to provide them with the skills that will be invaluable to either the programs or prospective employers," says Hickson.
A request for proposals for the construction of a new turf football field, along with a scoreboard and lighting will be issued soon.
