The annual Hockey for Hospice tournament is set to be the biggest yet in its 21-year history.
A record 132 teams will play 277 games between December 27 and 29.
Co-chair of the event Paul Pietraszko says the new high mark beats the record 118 teams that participated last year.
"We seem to be growing and growing and we've got kids that have been playing here for six years," says Pietraszko. "Some of them have actually turned into volunteers for us and I just think the word just keeps getting out there. There are very few house league tournaments."
There isn't a fundraising target for the tournament -- but last year over $270,000 was raised.
Over the 21-year history of the tournament, a little over $2.3-million has been raised for the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
