There is another delay in the approval process for a new, $73-million sports complex at the University of Windsor.
The Graduate Student Society is now calling into question it's own referendum results.
The group voted in favour of the project and yesterday was supposed to ratify those results.
That didn't happen, though, because some members of the group questioned the Returning Officer's report.
Austin Roth, a faculty rep for the Graduate Student Society says, instead of moving forward, a special committee will now have to be set up to look into the complaints. "And also seek legal council as to making sure our referendum was done properly. The legitimacy and the credibility of our CRO was called into question so we are trying to ratify that and come to a conclusion as quickly as possible."
Roth admits it's frustrating that the returning officer's credentials are being questioned by students who voted against the new complex.
