The funeral mass for former Windsor-area resident Dr. Elana Fric is set for this morning at 11am at St. Francis of Assisi.
Police believe Fric was murdered after her remains were found in a suitcase near a roadway in Vaughan just north of Toronto.
Her husband, neurosurgeon Mohammed Shamji, was charged with first degree murder on December 2.
Fric attended the University of Windsor and has family in Tecumseh.
A candlelight vigil was held at the university on Thursday and the visitation was held on Friday at Windsor Chapel.
Those attending the Saturday mass are invited to wear a purple ribbon to draw attention to the issue of domestic violence.
