A Windsor city councillor is seeking re-election.
Fred Francis filed his nomination papers on Monday for October's municipal election.
Francis has served ward one since being elected in 2014.
He feels he has worked hard for the ward and the city in his first term.
"It's always good to be the incumbent," says Francis. "Obviously you're very familiar with the issues over the past four years, you've been living in and working at it. "So the work continues as a councillor but the work will continue as the campaign gets rolling out very very soon."

He says his campaign four years ago focused on "taxpayers first" and "stronger neighbourhoods."
"In the next couple of weeks, next couple months we'll begin the campaign and get our message out to folks and going door to door and talking to folks and seeing what's important," says Francis.
At this time, no other candidates have filed their nomination papers for ward one.
The municipal election is October 22nd.
