The Leamington Flyers lost 6-5 in overtime last night in Chatham, as Austin Thompson scored the winning goal on a power play 2:39 into the extra period.
Chatham led 1-0 after one, 4-1 heading after two, and grabbed a big 5-1 advantage six minutes into the third, but the Flyers stormed back with four consecutive goals to force the overtime.
Zach Guilbeault and Cale Phibbs scored goals just 10 seconds apart late in the third period for Leamington.
Nolan Vandenborn scored twice and assisted on another for the Maroons.
LaSalle sits in first in the Division with Leamington and London tied for second just two points back, and now Chatham has moved to within two points of the Flyers and Nationals.
