Now that the sun is out and most roads are clear, it's time to look back at what the weekend storms brought us.
The main punch was Friday where the 18.4 centimetres of snow set a one day record for the 9th.
The amounts that fell on Saturday and Sunday were significantly lower at 2.5 and 4, leaving us a full storm event total of 24.9-centimetres.
Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the big factor after Friday was that it never really stopped snowing.
"Almost more the unrelenting nature through the weekend of having that snow continue and as you mention Sunday also had a good period of 3-4 hours of some freezing rain, some freezing drizzle and ice pellets"
Coulson says this has been one of the snowiest months of February.
"We're not even the middle part of the month yet and we've already had about 46 centimetres of snow at the airport for the month." says Coulson "Normal snowfall for the whole month of February is about 30 or 31 centimetres, we're already well above that"
He says there is a chance this month to set a record.
"When I look back at the record books really the only February that rivals it so far, we had an incredible 72 centimetres of snow back in 2015, so we still have a way to go to approach the numbers from 2015"
Coulson warns Thursday may be tricky as well with a temperature trending toward 8 Celsius with a lot of melting.
