A dog has been killed by another dog after an attack at a Windsor park.

Police were called to Ford Test Track early Saturday afternoon.

Gina Bourque says her 4-month-old shih tzu, Kodi was killed by a larger dog that was off leash in the small dog area. "All I remember is screaming, I was shaking and I can't close my eyes now without seeing that image in my head. I haven't slept since. All I can see is that dog, clamping down on my puppy and shaking it," says Bourque.

Bourque says the park has separate areas for small dogs and large dogs for a reason, saying "it's clearly marked, very clearly marked. I wasn't too comfortable with it, there was this man that was there and he said 'oh don't be such an over protective dog owner, dogs don't see size' and I just kind of looked at him thinking, I don't buy that."

Police officers have spoken to both dog owners. The information has been given to the city's bylaw enforcement department.
