The Greater Essex County District School Board is honouring a Canadian literary icon.
On Thursday, September 21, Queen Victoria Public School will dedicate a plaque to Farley Mowat who was a student at the school in the early 1930s.
Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell will attend the ceremony which begins at 1:45 pm.
Mowat was 92 when he died in 2014.
He sold 17-million books including likely his most famous book "Never Cry Wolf."
