Pedestrian suffered serious but nonlife threatening injuries

Charges have been laid after a pedestrian was struck by a minivan in Ford City just before Christmas.

On Saturday, December 23 at 1:30pm, Shane John Davis was leaving a home he had been renovating for his wife and three children when he was hit by a purple minivan on St. Luke Rd. near Alice St.

The driver of the minivan, a 25-year-old man, has been charged with careless driving, driving while under suspension and driving with no validation on the plate.

Davis suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The owner of the minivan, a 32-year-old woman, is also charged with permitting operator of a vehicle with no insurance and permitting person with improper license to operate vehicle.
