Funeral home workers noticed signs of life when her body arrived Sunday

An investigation is underway after a Detroit woman escaped death over the weekend.

Paramedics were called when the 20-year-old Detroit native went into cardiac arrest Sunday morning — CPR was administered for more than 30-minutes before the woman was declared dead.

Workers at James H. Cole Funeral home at 16100 Schaefer Hwy. received her body just after 12 p.m. and were shocked when they found signs of life.

Authorities aren't releasing any personal information about the woman, but say foul play was not a factor.
