Despite blowing leads of 5-1 and 6-3 in Game 7, the Chicago Cubs have captured their first World Series title since 1908.
Chicago downed Cleveland 8-7 in 10 innings. Ben Zobrist drove in the go-ahead run in the 10th and the Cubs held on.
Former Tiger and Blue Jay Rajai Davis evened the score in the bottom of the 8th inning with a two-run homer. The Indians outfielder hit the long ball off Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman.
Cleveland hasn't won the World Series since 1948.
Zobrist batted .357 over the course of the seven games and was named World Series MVP. It's the second consecutive World Series title for the 35-year-old. Zobrist also won the World Series last year as a member of the Kansas City Royals.
