Windsor wants you to know it's ready for snow when ever it arrives.
All the snow removal equipment has been checked and is ready to hit the streets when the time comes.
And the public works department has issued a reminder on procedures.
Owners are asked to keep their vehicles off the street after a snowfall so the plows can get through.
Maintenance Coordinator Roberta Harrison says people who shovel their driveway should not push the snow onto the street. "Please do not place the snow from your driveway on to the road. It is against the Highway Traffic Act, it does cause us issues after the fact, because we get calls somebody has put snow all over the road, and we have to go back and take care of it ourselves.
Harrison says the main roads are the priority when it comes to plowing but side streets will only be done after a snowfall of 10 cm or more.
