Windsor police have charged a city man following three separate thefts from area businesses.
Police say the first incident happened around 3pm on Monday from a business in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue where a purse was allegedly stolen.
The second incident took place at a business in the 200 block of Wyandotte Street West around 8:30pm where a backpack was allegedly taken from a back room.
The third incident occurred around 9:30pm at a business in the 500 block of Ouellette Avenue where a wallet went allegedly missing.
Police say a suspect description was provided after the third incident.
Police searched the area and found the suspect in a nearby alley and placed him under arrest.
The investigation revealed the same man was responsible for all three thefts.
63-year-old David Jenereaux of Windsor is charged with three counts of theft and breach of probation.
Video surveillance was obtained from the first two incidents.
