It's getting tougher for smokers to find a place to light up.
Windsor has added all city owned parks, beaches, community centres and recreational facilities to its list of smoke-free zones.
Eric Nadalin, Manager of Chronic Disease & Injury Prevention at the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit says "the ban includes not only traditional smoking products but hookahs as well. Hookah was an addition that was made at this point to clarify them on some of the regulations. Hookah was included in the original report but not stated so we thought for the benefit of the public it would be beneficial to state that hookah was included."
All municipalities in Windsor-Essex except Amherstburg have a smoke-free bylaw in place.
