It was a meeting of the minds in Windsor over the weekend on developments in cancer research.
The 'Windsor Cancer Research Group' hosted its third Biennial International Conference to share ideas and developments in cancer research.
Scientists from Windsor, London (ON), Toronto, Michigan, BC and Nova Scotia attended the conference at Caesars.
Executive Member of the group Dora Cavallo-Medved says it acts like a brain-storming session.
"Bringing them all together to share our findings and ideas on cancer research," says Cavallo-Medved. "The goal is to strength our cancer research programs within local area of Windsor-Essex and showcase that to the rest of the province, country and internationally as well."
Cavallo-Medved says patients do better in communities that have active cancer research so it's important for Windsor to do its part.
