The Lakeshore Canadiens are looking to take a 2-1 lead in their Provincial Junior Hockey League series on Friday night.
The Canadiens welcome Dresden to the Atlas Tube Centre for game three of their Stobbs Division best-of-seven semi-final series.
Lakeshore lost game one at home Tuesday night but rebounded on the road on Wednesday to even up the series at one game a piece.
Canadiens forward Ameen Fadel says the team rebounded after coming out flat in game one.
"First game we didn't come out to strong and we realized it after not playing so well and then the second game we came out hard right from the get go and we kept pressure on them the whole game," says Fadel. "So I think we just got to keep things simple and keep on them, keep going and keep staying positive."
Fadel tells AM800 News the team played a solid road game in game two.
"We were just doing a lot of the little things right like picking up our man, coming back on the back check, just getting pucks out of our end at the blue line and just getting pucks in and beating our man to the puck," says Fadel.
Fadel adds specials teams have played a role in in the series.
"Our PK has been amazing," says Fadel. "The second game we killed off nine penalties and we also got a couple powerplay goals now and I think those are going to play a big role especially coming down to the final games."
Game time is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
Game four will take place Sunday night in Dresden.
