A local fundraiser could boost the possibility of a prostate cancer screening clinic in Windsor.
The "Pints for Prostate" event was held at the Manchester Pub downtown November 10th.
Co-organizer Sarah White says they partnered with Hogan Printing and have presented a cheque for $9,000.
It goes to the Windsor Essex Prostate Cancer Support Group which is hoping to set up a prostate screening clinic.
White says "the idea came from a conversation with members of the group who run clinics across the county, they were talking about free PSA screening clinics they run in the county we thought about it and said what a great opportunity to raise some funds so we can have a clinic like that within city limits."
The goal is to have the testing clinic set up in the Urgent Care clinic at Dominion and Grand Marais.
White says the event has been successful two years in a row and they plan to do it again in 2017.
