The CIS Cross Country Championships take place tomorrow in Quebec City and Corey Bellemore from the University of Windsor is among the favourites.
Bellemore won the OUA Meet a couple of weeks ago in Toronto and was named the MVP.
Bellemore says "we know it's a very grinding course. It's hilly so we've been trying to implement hills in the workouts."
Bellemore anchors a talented Windsor men's team, while Stefanie Smith is expected to have a great run representing the Lancer women.
Bellemore who is the World Record Holder in the 'Beer Mile', says "I get teased a lot about that and I even hear people on the sidelines during the races say a couple of comments and it's funny and I don't mind it at all."
Bellemore says he still hasn't decided in the future whether to concentrate on the 800 metre or 1500 metre events.
