After 45 years, a Windsor business is closing its doors for good.
World Cottage Antique's will be shutting down at the end of the summer. The store, located in the downtown core, will be converted into law offices.
Store owner Riez Bhatti will miss his store.
He says he can no longer take proper care of the shop as his age catches up to him.
"I feel very sorry, but what can I do? My health is not good, so I want to get out," says Bhatti.
The part he will miss most about owning his own business is the customers.
"I love my customers and I miss my American customers and I love it, I love my business," says Bhatti.
He adds the business climate in downtown Windsor is a difficult one at the moment.
"Business was very, very booming, but now it is very slow," says Bhatti. "Now nobody is downtown because taxes are so high and the public does not want to go downtown. All the stores are closed."
Bhatti says although he is closing up shop, the building will stay in the family. The new law office is for his children.
