Street Help Homeless Centre in Windsor has received enough sleeping bags to help those in need.
Back on December 14th, the centre had about 80 sleeping bags but needed 300 and asked for the public's help.
Administrator Christine Wilson-Furlonger says the community has stepped up and donated more than enough sleeping bags, winter coats and boots.
She says the centre has incredible donors.
"We have had almost all of our coats, boots and sleeping bag requests filled so far. We have some that have yet to make it to the centre that's only because people have orders on hold and they're waiting to bring the gifts in. But I would say it looks like we have very much reached our goal on the sleeping bags, coats and boots," says Wilson-Furlonger.
She says the public also donated food to help stock the shelves at the centre's food bank.
Wilson-Furlonger says the centre still needs cash donations and is also looking for volunteers to staff the centre at night.
To donate or volunteer, visit the centre at 964 Wyandotte Street East.
