Meteorologist Kelly Hobelman says there's a chance of up to 50-millimetres of rain over the next 24 hours. "For today for Windsor-Essex we'll see showers continue on and off through out the day and even into tonight and heavy at times. We'll possibly see 20 to 50-millimetres of rain by Saturday morning."

Despite the heavy storm, Windsor's all time single day rainfall record remains intact. The all-time record is 89-millimetres of rain which was set September 30th, 1981.
