Windsor's weather is once again in the record books.
Environment Canada Severe Weather Meteorologist Ria Alsen says the temperature on Monday morning hit -19.5 degrees Celsius beating the previous record that was set in 1951.
On December 19th, 1951, the temperature was -18.9 degrees Celsius.
She says despite the chilly temperature on Monday, the temperature will improve this week.
"We get into a southwesterly flow and that's going to gradually bring our temperatures up closer to zero for the next couple of days and even above zero as we get towards the end of the week," says Alsen.
Alsen says looking ahead, there is also a chance for some snow or rain on Christmas Day.
