A New Commercial Cannabis Greenhouse in Leamington is Hiring

The help wanted sign is up for a new commercial cannabis greenhouse in Leamington.
PharmHouse is looking to fill more than 70 positions at its 1.3 million square foot facility at 709 Mersea Rd 11 near Highway 77.
General Manager Tony Abbas says the first of two job fairs was held on Thursday at the Lebanese Club in Leamington.
He says the job fair attracted a large crowd ranging from retirees to students along with middle aged individuals and business professionals.
Abbas says the company will focus on medical marijuana and has partnered with Canopy Rivers and local vegetable growers on the venture.
"The company itself has right now pre-sold 50% of what we produce so we are 50 % sold to our partners and their partners and that represents a couple things there," says Abbas. "It gives us an opportunity as a company to be able to produce our own cannabis and possibly make our own brands and get out there on our own basis and at the same time have the ability to take care of the market demand and the lack of available cannabis today."
