A financial boost for a future project at the John McGivney Children's Centre.
On Thursday, In Honour of the Ones We Love along with Drive Fore a Cure presented a $50,000 cheque to the organization.
The money will go towards the centre's proposed outdoor fully accessible playground.
In Honour Founder Anita Imperioli says it's an important project.
"Every child deserves a playground so these children deserve it also and it's long overdue and I think it's very important that every child has the right playground to play and grow and have a wonderful time," says Imperioli.
The money was raised at the groups golf tournament.
The cost of the Children's Centre's "dream" accessible playground is $600,000.
The centre says the project is a go but the size and cost will determine the size of the playground.
Construction is expected to start in the spring.
