The Weather Network is predicting that a cold and stormy winter is in store for most of Ontario, and Windsor-Essex won't escape it.
The weather agency says this winter's weather won't have much in common with last year's comparatively balmy temperatures.
Meteorologist Kelly Sonnenburg says "we are expecting temps to be a return to a classic winter, Windsor-area and much of Great Lakes to be trending below normal temp wise for winter months."
Sonnenburg adds that more moisture is expected in the new year, saying "we think this will be more favourable set up, more moisture, more snowfall, depending on tracks we may see rain, freezing rain, sleet, a mixture of everything, overall we think it'll be a little more wet this winter."
The Weather Network is forecasting the coldest place this winter to be in the centre of the country.
