300,000 in damages following weekend fire

A weekend house fire near downtown Windsor has caused some significant damage.

Windsor Fire tweeted on Sunday that damage is set at $300,000 after crews got the blaze under control.

No injuries are reported however as a result of the fire in the 800 block of Louis Avenue near Cataraqui Street.

Careless cooking has been listed as the cause.
