There will be something new at this year's Windsor International Film Festival.
Organizers have announced 'WIFF alley' and 'WIFF village.'
An alley between Chatham and University, which is used by many festival goers between the Capitol Theatre and St. Clair Centre for the Arts' Chrysler Theatre, will be improved with lighting, artwork and murals.
"Which was a natural cut through between our venues and we want to commit to beautifying that," says Executive Director Vincent Georgie with work beginning in the next few days.
It will remain in place 365 days a year.
In addition, during the second weekend of the festival, University Ave. will be closed between Pelissier and Victoria where a large tent will be erected for film lovers to hang out.
"Have some parties, catch up and connect," says Georgie. "People and our audience keep telling us they want an experience, they want to enjoy themselves and feel like they are at something, kinda amazing, that's what we want to provide for them."
