The Detroit River Walleye Classic is an annual fishing tournament, hosted by the LaSalle Firefighters Associations. It takes place at The LaSalle Landing (formerly Gil Maure Park), the first Saturday of May each year at the LaSalle boat ramp located at Laurier & Front rd.
All the proceeds raised from the event are returned to the community by supporting local high school scholarships, supporting local families in need, supporting children with critical illnesses, sponsoring youth programs as well as organizing local food & toy drives, and numerous other charitable support initiatives.
