There were some tense moments in a couple of Windsor neighbourhoods on Wednesday afternoon, with one incident carrying on for more than seven-hours.
Police were called to the scene at Arthur Road south of Tecumseh Road just before 3 p.m on Wednesday for what was reported as an, "active weapons investigation."
The Emergency Services Unit was on scene using a megaphone to call occupants out of the home — two people came out voluntarily, one was brought out by police and at last check, at least one female remained in the home, demanding fentanyl before she would surrender.
Major Crimes will not confirm they were taken into custody because the investigation is in its early stages, but say the scene was cleared as of 10 p.m.
This woman has lived on the street for 24 years and says the only problems on the street are caused by people coming and going from that house.
"There's always drugs, there's always people buying drugs, there's yelling, there's yelling, there's people getting kicked out and throwing things," she says. "This is always during the day but the dealing of drugs, that's at night. They're always coming at nighttime 9:00 or 10:00 at night, that's when they go buy drugs."
