The Executive Director of the Unemployed Help Centre in Windsor is asking for the public's help.
"Coats for Kids Program is in jeopardy," says June Muir as the program is looking for a large warehouse to store the coats.
If a warehouse is not found soon, she says, the winter clothing drive is in trouble.
Muir says the coats used to be stored at local dry cleaners but some dry cleaners are not on board this year.
She says instead, the coats will be washed by volunteers at laundry mats.
"We're really feeling it and this year we realize we have to wash all the coats so it's really important that we get a place to bring them after we wash them and get the community on board," says Muir.
Muir says the warehouse needs to hold 20 racks along with a number of boxes and is needed right away until the end of October.
She adds Leamington's program is not in jeopardy.
The program hands out roughly 5,000 coats per year.
