Toothless Tigers Manage Only One Hit in Cleveland

Castellanos fifthinning single ended up being the Tigers only hit in 80 loss.

Four Indians pitchers combined to toss a one-hitter in a 8-0 rout of the Detroit Tigers at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Nick Goody picked up the win with two perfect innings.  Oscar Mercado belted a two-run homer and Tyler Naquin a solo shot.  

Rain delayed play for two hours and seven minutes.  

Cleveland moved 13 games above .500.  Nicholas Castellanos singed to lead off the fifth off Tyler Clippard for Detroit's only hit.

Ryan Carpenter surrendered seven runs in three innings to take the loss.

The Tigers have dropped seven-of-eight.

Detroit looks to snap a two-game losing streak Wednesday night with Spencer Turnbull opposing Cleveland's Mike Clevinger.

In other MLB action on Tuesday, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 10-4.
