The Blue Jays let one slip away at Rogers Centre.
Joey Wendle's RBI grounder capped the Rays' rally from an 8-1 deficit in a 10-9 triumph over the Jays in Major League Baseball action Sunday.
The comeback prevented Aaron Sanchez from ending his 13-game losing streak.
His last victory was April 27th.
Toronto led 8-1 after five innings but couldn't hold on. Tampa Bay chased Sanchez in a three-run sixth, but Toronto Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit an RBI double in the bottom half of the inning, making it 9-4.
The Rays cut it to 9-6 with two runs in the seventh inning, then tied it in the eighth inning on back-to-back home runs from Guillermo Heredia and Willy Adames. Both homers came off Blue Jays right-hander David Phelps.
The Blue Jays are in Kansas City Monday night to open a MLB series against the Royals.
In other action on Sunday, the Detoit Tigers lost 3-2 in 10 innings to Seattle.
