The Windsor International Film Festival is out with its lineup of 107 movies and documentaries.
In addition to the screenings, there will be 3D interactive installations, sessions where a documentary will be de-constructed and re-built as well as a live sing-along of the Sound of Music.
WIFF Executive Director Vincent Georgie says they're thrilled to be the number two film festival out of 158 in Canada.
He says the growth of the event has been phenomenal, "when I first joined we were selling about 2,500 tickets which is still a good number of tickets and we've grown every single year and it comes down to Windsor's attitude to films and watching great movies and having a great festival experience and a great time, when you're doing 20,000 tickets that's the whole community jumping in saying we're part of this," says Georgie.
The 6-day event will open with "Maudie" starring Ethan Hawke, a love story about a Nova Scotia painter.

The festival runs from November 1st to 6th and tickets are already available at the box office and online.
